Day Hall was my dorm this past year at Syracuse University. It is a pretty typical freshman dorm with gross bathrooms on the weekends and the occasional late night fire alarms that everyone hates. The people I lived with though greatly changed the experience in a positive way, and even found my future roommate out of it. Our dining hall shared with Flint Hall is probably one of the nicer dining halls, but the location (for people who do not live in either Flint or Day Halls) is very inconvenient. On the plus side the bathrooms are brand new (being renovated this past year) and I do know the rooms are getting redone over the summer as well. I know Day Hall will look a lot nicer next year based on what I heard from the employees who run the building. Also, the Day Hall staff is very friendly and accommodating to all the first year residents by offering several activities in the building so there was always something going on throughout the year. I had the typical dorm experience in Day Hall, with meeting neighbors and making random friends at building ran activities.
